Slow Start

Well, here we are.

A little bit late of a post, mainly because I am not overly pleased with my initial results - only 3 pounds down, 0.9% total loss

I have not changed my diet or habits much which is the culprit for the lack of loss.  One of the ways I am trying to do the weight loss is to take my lunch to work as often as possible.  This is difficult for me since I travel so often and my schedule is very unpredictable even when I am home.

The month of April was also a month of celebration, my family came to visit me in Australia, my wife had her birthday, Easter, and so on.  Hayden and I ate out quite a bit and I often pushed the envelope on "what was for dinner" to something unhealthy.

This is Hayden and I's last month in Australia, so it will be filled with a number of farewell drinks and dinners.  It will be difficult to maintain or progress on any kind of weight-loss.  I know it is not as inspirational as everyone hoped, and I am mildly disappointed in myself.

I am looking forward to the days ahead when I can establish a routine and process, and make daily occurrences in to real habits.  Please keep supporting me and pushing me to keep posting.

  2. Ditto to what Katie said. You're headed in the right direction and you can absolutely do this. And just balance your heavy drinking and dinner days this month with heavy fruit and veggie intake earlier in the day. ;) Looking forward to having you both back in the states!
